ScriptE for iPad: Manage Continuity Department Titles

1. Tap CONFIGURE.

2. From the MANAGE PICK LISTS section, tap DEPARTMENTS to open the DEPARTMENTS MENU.

3. In the DEPARTMENTS MENU, tap MANAGE TITLES of the department you want to edit the titles in.

In this case, CONTINUITY. This will open the TITLES MENU for this department.

ADD A TITLE TO THE DEPARTMENT

4. Tap here.

5. Write the title you want to add. Hit ENTER.

6. The title has been added.

Close the menu by tapping DONE.

DELETE TITLE FROM DEPARTMENT: METHOD A

7. Hold down on the note and swipe left to reveal the DELETE BUTTON

8. Tap here.

Alert: ALWAYS READ POP UPS and make sure that you select the right response!

9 times out of 10, a pop-up means that what you are about to do is something you cannot undo.

YES and NO are not always in the same position in ScriptE, and this is completely intentional to avoid autopilot answers to get rid of the pop-up, but this is not foolproof. Again: ALWAYS READ POP UPS!

9. Tap here.

10. The title has been deleted.

DELETE TITLE FROM DEPARTMENT: METHOD B

11. Hold down on the attachment and swipe left to all the way out to the left hand edge of the window.

Alert: ALWAYS READ POP UPS and make sure that you select the right response!

13. The title has been deleted.

UPLOAD CHANGES AND DOWNLOAD UPDATES

Tip: For an optimal workflow during both pre-production and shooting, please upload your file at the start of the day, at lunch, and at the end of the day.

This practice helps prevent slowdowns and minimizes potential issues.

14. Tap here.

Alert: ALWAYS READ POP UPS and make sure that you select the right response!

Publishing will upload changes and download updates - depending on the file size, this may take a couple of minutes. Do not do this unless you have time.

16. Enter your password. Tap log in.

17. Wait.

18. When the upload is complete, the message will close.
